A couple of weeks ago I attended the annual Hugh O'Bryan Youth Leadership seminar in Mitchell, South Dakota. One or two sophomores from every school in the state is invited to attend, and I was the representative from Sturgis. I went down there not knowing what to expect, but I left with some of the best friends I've ever had and leadership skills that can help me later on in life. We were there for just four short days but we learned a lot about ourselves and others. We had amazing speakers, activities, and even a service project to help with pediatric cancer research. I will never forget the skills I learned at HOBY and the memories will be carried with me forever.
